I like many things about Coach April. First of all April is very knowledgeable about the game of volleyball. I love the fact that she not only has played volleyball in college but she has been a college coach and she also officiates at the college level. When training a volleyball athlete, Coach April not only looks at where the athlete is now skill wise but she looks at the athletes potential and where the athlete could be. April uses coaching lessons not only for volleyball but for life as well. She trains the whole athlete-mentally, physically and emotionally. She tries to use mistakes or set backs as tools for life lessons because she feels that’s there more to the athlete than just volleyball; volleyball is just part of who the athlete is. However, when training, April wants the athlete to get the most out of the training with her and she is committed to seeing the athlete get better and succeed on and off the court

Coach April is an amazing volleyball coach! Our kiddo has learned how to overhand serve because of her lessons! She is patient, will go step by step with instructions with the kids, provides practices tailored to the kid’s position, and is an amazing coach. She knows what she is doing, and our daughter has grown leaps and bounds with private lessons from Coach April! Highly recommend her - we love lessons with her!
