About Wendy

I approach each student as an individual with their own set of skills, expectations, and goals. While one student may enjoy math and just want help getting from a B to an A, another student may just want help getting through a difficult class so that they are able to pursue their goals, which may have nothing to do with math.
Each student brings a unique personality and skill set to the table. We are all different, and I provide a gentle, judgement-free environment!

About the lesson

I have taught all ages, from elementary school to college-level Calculus. With high-school students and adults, I usually follow the student's lead in how they would like to approach the lesson.
Some students just want to work through problems, which is a good way to get started. My area of expertise is in recognizing skill gaps, and helping the student fill in those gaps so that they have a strong foundation to build upon and become more independent.
Other students prefer a classroom type of lesson, where I review a particular topic in detail. During my teaching career at the high school and college-levels, I have taught courses in Calculus I and II, Geometry, and Algebra.
I enjoy tutoring all math subjects, and figuring out how to help each individual student succeed at math, so that they are able to pursue their dreams.
