About Colleen
I graduated Simmons University in 2019 with a BA in Spanish, and studied at the University of Granada in Spain for one semester. I also have a great deal of experience working with Spanish-speaking communities in the US, including doing interpreting during meetings and presentations, proofreading translations, and assisting Spanish-speakers in need of legal advice, rental assistance, and other basic services.

I'm a great tutor for students from middle school to college from a beginning to advanced level, and for adults who want to start learning. I began studying Spanish at the age of five and also have several years of real-life experience speaking Spanish in work, school, and social settings in Spain and the US. I excelled in advanced grammar and translation courses at the University of Granada, Spain.
I have a wealth of tutoring experience and am great at helping younger students focus and reach their goals. I'm also familiar with many Spanish books and short stories which I use to make lessons more fun.
I can also help you learn Spanish as you prepare to travel to a Spanish-speaking country.
My approach is to start having conversations as soon as possible about whatever topic interests you, and include the grammar rules and vocabulary you need to learn.
