About Alan

A well rounded tutor and individual with a Bachelor of Computer Engineering (Honours) from UNSW and currently working as a digital marketer/UX Designer.

As a people's person, I strongly believe in the importance of rapport building amongst others whether it is within the educational and career world or within the social aspects. I have also worked in South Korea as an ESL Tutor contracted to 3 month developing their conversational English throughout my time.

About the lesson

My tuition techniques completely differ from the usual textbook style of teaching. I take the time to first assess the student based on their level of English before devising a plan best tailored to their needs. As much as our lessons will consist of going over the curriculum and revising techniques, I utilise a deep, psychological approach over the usual spot the technique and write an analysis similar to how others write based on the nature of the text analysed as well as the concepts and the characters involved in the text. I also provide my students access to my resources they are welcome to use for their assistance in their academic journey..

A typical lesson will go up to 2 hours based on the students' needs, attention span and schedule.

Qualifications:
- 96.25 ATAR HSC 2016
- Bachelor of Computer Engineering
- 8 years of English and Mathematics Tutor for both companies and independently
- Currently working as a digital marketer for SmartLab
