About Prithi
I am a dedicated piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano. My approach focuses on developing critical thinking, musicality, and individualised learning for every student. I believe that a strong foundation in music theory, ear training, history, and technique is essential for holistic musical growth. I work closely with students to help them understand and interpret music, encouraging both technical skill and expressive performance. Lessons are tailored to each learner, whether they are Early Intermediate, Advanced Intermediate, or Professional/Expert level. I aim to make learning engaging, practical, and inspiring, helping students build confidence at the keyboard. Through guided practice and thoughtful feedback, students learn to connect theory with performance. I emphasise creativity, problem-solving, and the joy of musical discovery. My goal is to support each student in achieving their personal musical aspirations while nurturing a lifelong love for music. Whether refining technique or exploring new repertoire, I guide students every step of the way. Together, we transform challenges into accomplishments and moments of musical triumph. My teaching approach focuses on helping students develop both skill and passion for piano. I work with beginners, hobbyists, and advanced learners, tailoring lessons to individual goals. Lessons include keyboard technique, ear training, performance skills, and applying music theory to real pieces. I break complex concepts into simple, clear steps, making practice productive and enjoyable. I guide students in developing finger strength, agility, and musical expression. Ear training exercises help them recognise pitch, rhythm, and harmony. I emphasise performance skills, encouraging students to play confidently in recitals or casual settings. Theory lessons are always linked to practical application, so students understand how music works as they play. I support learners in building consistency and discipline while nurturing their creativity. Each student receives constructive feedback and targeted exercises to improve steadily.
