About Karen
I'm a Certified Cancer Exercises Specialist and Yoga Teacher and I'd love an opportunity to speak to you if you think I can help!
Exercise has always been a big part of my life. In my 30’s I enrolled in a yoga class hoping to alleviate back pain. At first I was preoccupied with my inflexibility but over time and with the right teacher I discovered the many benefits of yoga! “Life just started to feel better and brighter the more I practiced!”
In 2018 I studied to become a Certified Personal Trainer and in 2019 a 200-Hour Yoga Instructor. Then, in 2020, while recovering from a broken ankle I enrolled in a comprehensive program through CETI (Cancer Exercise Training Institute) to become a Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist. Ironically, one year later, I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. I attribute much of my recovery, both mental and physical, to my ongoing yoga practice & strength training. I am now committed to help others discover the healing properties of movement, balance, alignment, and breath for improved physical, spiritual and mental health.
