Bonjour! My name is Devin, and I am a university-level French instructor and graduate scholar in Applied Linguistics and African Studies. I am passionate about helping students develop confidence in French through engaging, supportive, and personalized lessons. Bonjour! My name is Devin, and I am an experienced French instructor and graduate scholar in Applied Linguistics and African Studies. I currently teach university-level French and have experience working with learners from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
My lessons are designed to help students build confidence and communicate naturally in French while also developing strong grammar, pronunciation, listening, reading, and writing skills. Whether you are a complete beginner, preparing for school exams, improving conversational fluency, planning to travel, or simply learning for personal enrichment, I tailor lessons to your individual goals and learning style.
I especially enjoy incorporating Francophone cultures from around the world—including France, West Africa, the Caribbean, and Canada—into lessons to make language learning engaging, meaningful, and authentic.
