About Skye
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance and have spent over 7 years teaching students of all levels. My background includes both classical and contemporary vocal training, and I’ve worked with learners preparing for competitions, performances, and personal musical goals. I’ve also performed as a soloist and ensemble singer in live and studio settings, bringing practical experience to every session. As a tutor, I blend structure with encouragement. I know that every singer has a unique voice and learning style, and I tailor my methods accordingly. I prioritize vocal health and long-term improvement, always aiming to build technique without rushing progress. I also work on musical expression, helping singers truly connect with what they’re performing. My goal is for students to sound their best while feeling at ease and empowered. My students have ranged from young beginners to adult singers returning to music after years away. I believe strongly that progress is built on patience, trust, and the right guidance. Nothing is more fulfilling than watching a student find their voice, both musically and personally. Whether you're exploring singing for the first time or ready to take your skills further, I'm here to support that journey every step of the way.

Singing lessons begin with an emphasis on vocal health, posture, and breathing techniques that form the foundation of every strong performance. We focus on diaphragmatic breathing, warm-up routines, and vocal exercises that enhance control and range. From day one, I tailor sessions to your natural tone and help you grow in confidence and consistency. Whether you sing for fun or aspire to perform, you’ll gain tools that build your voice steadily and safely.
As you progress, we move into pitch accuracy, tone clarity, and stylistic elements that shape your sound. Lessons incorporate ear training, phrasing, and dynamic control to help you interpret songs with expression and artistry. You’ll sing across different genres, experiment with resonance, and work on challenging sections with targeted drills. Sessions also include microphone techniques and stage presence to help you feel performance-ready.
Advanced sessions go deeper into vocal agility, belting techniques, harmony work, and interpretation. You’ll analyze lyrics, explore improvisation, and strengthen your musical identity. Whether preparing for auditions, building a repertoire, or refining your personal style, each lesson is a space for growth. Feedback is always constructive, and I guide you to set realistic goals while encouraging exploration beyond your comfort zone.
