About Luna
Luna comes from an Astanga yoga background. However after 4 years of teaching Astanga yoga and observation of her students she realized that there are some postures that can be risky and unwise for many people to practice and while not difficult for some, performing headstands, doing full back-bends and even crossing the legs can strain the neck, spine and even cause injuries. She also wanted to gain a deeper understanding of the nature and philosophy of yoga, which prompted her multiple trips to India. While in India she first studied with Sri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, TKV Desikachar and then underwent intensive training and successfully competed certification courses for yoga teachers in Chennai under the guidance of her revered teacher A.G. Mohan who was a personal student of the legendary Yogi Sri T. Krishnamacharya.
