About Ishira

I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 5 years of experience and an MSc in Environmental Chemistry. I take a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to teaching, helping students connect theory with practical applications. My focus lies in electroplating and surface finishing chemistry, where chemistry meets engineering to create functional and beautiful materials.
In my lessons, we explore electrochemical deposition in detail, studying how electrode kinetics and bath composition influence the quality and properties of coatings. I guide students in understanding how different metals and solutions interact, and how these interactions affect both performance and appearance. We discuss coatings not just for aesthetics, but for protection, durability, and industrial relevance.
I enjoy working with students interested in materials engineering, manufacturing, and applied chemistry, tailoring lessons to their career goals and curiosity. Each session combines theory, calculations, and real-world examples to make complex concepts accessible. My goal is to help students gain confidence in both understanding and applying chemistry in practical settings.
