About Sumanth Akhil
I am a Civil 3D professional based in Rome, Italy, with a strong passion for civil engineering, design, and teaching.
I teach Civil 3D through practical, easy-to-understand lessons designed around the student's level and goals. Whether you are a civil engineering student, a beginner learning Civil 3D for the first time, or a professional looking to improve your design skills, I can help you develop practical knowledge that you can apply to real projects.
My teaching approach is focused on learning by doing. Rather than simply explaining commands, I show you how Civil 3D tools are used in real engineering workflows and help you understand the reasoning behind each step.
We can work on topics such as surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, grading, pipe networks, cross sections, quantities, and general Civil 3D project workflows. I can also help you troubleshoot specific problems in your own projects or assignments.
I am based in Rome, and I offer both online lessons and, when practical, in-person lessons in Rome.
My goal is to make Civil 3D less complicated and help you become confident enough to use it independently in your studies or professional career.

Learning Civil 3D can be challenging when you only follow tutorials without understanding how the tools are actually used in real engineering projects. My goal is to make Civil 3D practical, clear, and easy to understand.
I can teach you step by step, starting from the fundamentals and progressing to more advanced workflows. Instead of simply showing you which buttons to click, I explain why each tool is used and how different Civil 3D features work together in a real project.
Depending on your goals, we can work on:
Surfaces and surface analysis
Alignments and profiles
Corridors and assemblies
Grading and feature lines
Pipe networks
Cross sections and sample lines
Plan and profile production
Quantities and earthwork
Civil 3D project workflows

Whether you are a civil engineering student, beginner, designer, or professional who wants to improve your Civil 3D skills, I can adapt the lessons to your current level.
You can also bring your own project, assignment, or specific problem to the lesson. This allows us to focus directly on what you need rather than spending hours learning topics that are not relevant to you.
My teaching style is practical and interactive: you work, I guide you, and you learn how to solve the problem yourself.
