About Heather
Graduating with a Master of Music in Jazz Piano from the University of Miami Frost changed my perspective on the instrument. Walking into the practice room, I remember the discipline required to master the works of Albéniz, Granados, and Falla. My 13 years of experience have taught me that technical precision is only half the battle. I have guided 81 students toward achieving their personal goals, whether for exams or pure enjoyment.
Every student deserves to feel the groove while maintaining perfect technique. I am here to help you achieve your musical ambitions.

Pacing remains the priority during our hour together. I start by setting a tempo that challenges you without causing frustration. Feedback comes immediately, often mid-phrase, to ensure bad habits do not take root.
We focus on sight reading, chord voicing, and proper pedalling technique using your favorite repertoire. I provide a progress tracker shared with parents every month to keep everyone informed. My classical Spanish training informs how we handle dynamics and expression.
We cover everything from ABRSM grade prep to contemporary improvisation. This systematic approach guarantees steady growth for adults and hobbyists. I look forward to hearing you play.
