About Maya
I am a dedicated Computer Programming tutor with over 7 years of experience helping students build strong technical skills and confidence. I hold a BSc in Computer Science with Psychology, which has given me both logical problem-solving ability and an understanding of how students learn best. My passion lies in teaching programming in a clear and practical way. I believe coding should feel structured, not overwhelming.
I focus on core areas such as algorithms, data structures, and software development principles. I also cover topics like problem-solving techniques, debugging, and code optimization. These concepts are essential for building efficient programs. They can seem complex at first, but I make them simple and approachable.
I have worked with students who are passionate about technology, as well as those aiming to become developers, engineers, or software professionals. I guide them in writing clean, efficient code and understanding how systems work. My approach encourages logical thinking. It also builds confidence step by step.
I use practical coding exercises and real-world examples in my teaching. Students learn by building and testing their own programs. This makes learning interactive. It also improves problem-solving skills.
I believe programming is a powerful tool for innovation and creativity. My goal is to help students understand not just how to code, but how to think like programmers. My teaching approach focuses on making Computer Programming clear, structured, and easy to visualize. I cover core topics such as algorithms, data structures, and programming fundamentals, along with problem-solving techniques and debugging. These areas form the foundation of strong coding skills. Learning becomes easier when logic is seen step by step.
I use active visualization as an important part of my teaching. Flowcharts, diagrams, and code walkthroughs help students understand how programs work. They can clearly see how data moves and changes. This makes learning more engaging.
I provide detailed explanations for every concept. Complex problems are broken into smaller steps. Each part is explained carefully. This builds strong understanding.
I also connect programming to real-world applications such as software development and automation. Students learn how coding is used in practical situations. This adds purpose to learning. It also improves interest.
I support students who enjoy analyzing systems and understanding how things work deeply. I guide them through advanced topics with patience and clarity. Regular feedback helps improve accuracy. Confidence grows steadily.
My goal is to help every student build a strong foundation in programming. I encourage logical thinking and active problem-solving. Each session builds on previous knowledge. Together, you will master the intricacies of programming and develop confidence in your computational skills.
