About Jace

About Me: I'm a dedicated computer science educator with a proven track record of helping students succeed. For three years, I served as an official tutor at Texas A&M University San Antonio, where I guided countless students through challenging computer science coursework while completing my own Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

About the lesson

My Tutoring Approach:

I structure each lesson to be interactive, practical, and tailored to your learning style. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to advance your skills, I break down complex concepts into manageable steps that build your confidence and understanding.

What to Expect:

Each session begins with a quick review of previous material, then we dive into new concepts using real-world examples and hands-on coding exercises. I believe in learning by doing, so you'll spend most of our time actively writing and debugging code rather than just watching demonstrations.

Python Machine Learning Lessons: We'll start with Python fundamentals, then progress through data manipulation with pandas, visualization with matplotlib, and machine learning algorithms using scikit-learn. You'll work on actual projects like predicting housing prices or classifying images, giving you portfolio pieces to showcase your skills.

Java Programming Lessons: From basic syntax and object-oriented programming principles to advanced topics like data structures and algorithms, I'll help you build a solid foundation. We'll create practical applications and solve coding challenges that prepare you for technical interviews.

Personalized Learning: I adapt each lesson to your pace and goals, whether you're preparing for exams, working on personal projects, or transitioning into a tech career. I provide additional practice problems, code reviews, and career guidance to support your journey beyond our sessions.

After Each Lesson: You'll receive summary notes, practice exercises, and resources for continued learning, ensuring you can review and reinforce concepts between our meetings.
