About Iris

My teaching approach in English is all about sparking imagination and building confidence through words. I believe that language comes alive through stories, poetry, and creative expression. Whether we’re exploring fiction, writing vivid poems, or learning new vocabulary, every lesson is designed to be engaging and inspiring. I use fiction-based learning and real-world prompts to help learners connect personally with the material. From creative writing to poetry and personal narratives, I encourage students to find their voice. I support learners in expressing themselves clearly and confidently in both written and spoken English. For those who love to travel or simply enjoy language as a hobby, I offer lessons that are fun, freeing, and deeply expressive. I focus on helping you build a rich vocabulary and a strong sense of tone, rhythm, and flow. Lessons often include journal prompts, story crafting, and reading literary pieces that stir the imagination.

With over seven years of experience as an English tutor and a Bachelor of Science in Professional Communication (English Emphasis), I bring both academic depth and practical insight to my sessions. I’m passionate about analytical reading, philosophical debate, and crafting powerful argumentative essays. I thrive on helping students tackle challenging texts—whether classic literature, modern essays, or ethical case studies—and draw out deeper meaning through careful analysis.

I specialize in guiding university students, debate teams, and aspiring academics to think critically and write with precision. Together, we explore complex themes and sharpen logical reasoning through thought-provoking discussions. I believe English is more than grammar and vocabulary—it’s a powerful tool for expressing nuanced ideas and engaging with the world.
