About Alexander
Learning guitar is a journey of discovery, and I love guiding students as they uncover their musical potential. With Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music, I bring 9 years of teaching and performance experience to every lesson. Lessons start with foundational techniques such as posture, finger placement, chord transitions, rhythm, strumming, and tone, progressing to improvisation, phrasing, and composition. Music theory is integrated practically, helping students understand and apply concepts in real music. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace, goals, and style, fostering creativity, confidence, and motivation. I emphasize both technical proficiency and expressive artistry, helping students communicate emotion through music. Ear training, sight-reading, and performance practice are key components of my teaching. Students explore genres like classical, jazz, rock, blues, and pop to broaden their musical horizons. I provide structured practice routines, detailed feedback, and guidance to overcome challenges. Milestones are celebrated to maintain motivation and reinforce achievement. I encourage creativity, improvisation, and personal expression to help students develop a unique musical voice. Lessons balance discipline, technical mastery, and artistic freedom to ensure effective learning. Over time, learners gain technical skill, confidence, and expressive artistry. Teaching guitar is mentorship, inspiration, and guidance combined. My goal is to empower students to play with confidence, creativity, and authenticity. Every lesson is an opportunity to nurture skill, passion, and lifelong love for music.

I teach guitar the way I wish I had been taught—clear, encouraging, and full of creativity. With advanced degrees in Music and 9 years of teaching experience, I aim to make learning enjoyable for every student. My lessons blend structure with freedom, giving you the tools to play with confidence and originality. We start with rhythm, chord shapes, and clean technique before moving into improvisation and song performance. I make theory practical by linking it directly to your favorite music. You’ll learn not only how to play songs but also how to understand them musically.
I place a strong emphasis on ear training and expression, helping you develop your musical instincts. I also teach performance skills such as stage presence and emotional connection. My approach is supportive and patient, ensuring you feel comfortable at every stage of progress. I believe learning guitar should be exciting, not stressful. Watching students unlock their potential and play with pride is the highlight of my work.
