About Shreya

नमस्ते! (Namaste!) I’m Dr. Shreya, and I’m here to make your Hindi learning journey simple, fun, and highly rewarding.

With a PhD in Physics and a deep passion for linguistics, I bring a unique, analytical yet creative approach to teaching my native language. Whether you are an expat living in India, someone looking to connect with their heritage, or a professional needing Hindi for work, I tailor every session to meet your specific rhythm.

Why choose me as your tutor?
Proven Track Record: Over 7 years of teaching experience, including 5 years as a home tutor and 2 years as an Assistant Hindi Lecturer.

Global Experience: I have successfully taught 1,100+ lessons to students from the US, UK, Germany, Japan, and beyond. I understand the cultural nuances that come with language learning.

Academic Excellence: My background as a researcher and professor means I value structure, clarity, and results.

Bilingual Advantage: As a polyglot (fluent in Hindi, Kannada, and English, with basics in Spanish and French), I understand the "pain points" of learning a new language and how to overcome them.

Methodology
I don’t believe in "one size fits all" teaching. My methodology is built on the "Natural Acquisition" style:

Conversation-First: From Day 1, we start speaking. We focus on sentence-making strategies that you can use in real-life situations immediately.

The Four Pillars: Every lesson balances Reading, Writing, Listening, and Grammar, ensuring you don’t just speak Hindi, but you understand its soul.

Creative Tools: I use a variety of digital resources—PDFs, custom flashcards, audio clips, and interactive quizzes—to keep you engaged. No boring lectures here!

Patience & Pace: I am known for being soft-spoken and patient. My classroom is a "safe zone" where you are encouraged to make mistakes and learn at a speed that feels comfortable for you.

Who I Teach
Kids & Teenagers: Fun, engaging sessions that keep young minds curious.

Expats & Travelers: Survival Hindi and cultural tips for navigating India.

Intermediate/Advanced Learners: Deep dives into vocabulary, literature, and complex grammar.

IELTS Aspirants: Having scored an 8.5 in Listening and 9 in Reading, I also offer tips for those looking to ace their English proficiency tests.

About the lesson

What sets my classes apart is the unique intersection of academic rigor and linguistic empathy. As a PhD researcher and university-level educator, I bring a highly structured, analytical framework to language learning, ensuring that every lesson is rooted in logic and efficient methodology. However, I believe that a language is more than just a set of rules-it is a bridge to connection. Having successfully delivered over 1,100 lessons to a global student base across the US, Europe, and Asia, I have mastered the art of simplifying complex grammar into intuitive, conversational milestones. As a polyglot currently mastering my sixth language, I understand the psychological hurdles of a learner firsthand. This allows me to offer a patient, 'safe-zone' environment where we don't just study a subject-we build the confidence to speak it fluently from Day 1. Whether I am coaching a professional for IELTS (leveraging my own 8.5+ band expertise) or introducing a child to their mother tongue, my mission is to provide an elite, organized, and deeply personalized educational experience that produces visible results.
