About Zar
I am a professional educator with a Master’s degree in Astrophysics and a Bachelor’s from the American University in Bulgaria in both Computer Science and Physics. This dual-discipline background allows me to bridge the gap between abstract Physics and practical Computation, a unique advantage for students navigating the interdisciplinary demands of the IB and IGCSE curricula. With 10 years of experience as a full-time international school teacher, I have a deep understanding of the marking criteria for IB Physics HL/SL and IGCSE Computer Science (0478). My career is dedicated to helping students achieve top grades (A*/7) by applying my 'Teacher’s Eye' to their specific weaknesses, ensuring they not only learn the content but master the exam technique required for elite universities

My lessons are results-driven and strictly aligned with the IB and IGCSE/GCSE syllabi, focusing on turning complex concepts into manageable steps. As a professional educator, I use a three-pillar approach: 1) Conceptual Clarity, where we break down difficult Physics or Computer Science theory; 2) Active Problem Solving, using an interactive whiteboard for real-time collaboration; and 3) Exam Mastery, where we focus on past paper questions and mark schemes to ensure you hit that Grade 7 or A*. Whether we are tackling IB Physics HL topics like Electrodynamics or IGCSE Coding in Python, I provide a customized learning plan and specific feedback after every session to track progress toward your target grade.
