About Sherry

Hey there! I'm Sherry, a friendly and experienced math tutor with a passion for teaching. With over 10 years of teaching experience and a PhD in computational mathematics from UPM (graduated in 2016), I've helped students of all ages and backgrounds to succeed in math. I specialize in teaching IB, AP calculus and IGCSE, and I can help with all areas of algebra, calculus, trigonometry, pure math, and more! Whether you're struggling with a specific concept or just looking to improve your math skills, I'm here to help. Let's work together to achieve your academic goals and have fun while learning!

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is student-centered, personalized, and focused on helping students achieve their academic goals. I proudly teach a variety of subjects in Math such as :

*IB (HL, SL) Math, AP Calculus AB & BC
*Pre-calculus, Trigonometry, Math 8,9,10
*IGCSE and Extended Mathematics for Cambridge IGCSE
*Cambridge checkpoint Mathematics
*Foundation

My teaching methods and techniques are tailored to each student's individual learning style and needs, and may include a combination of visual aids, hands-on activities, real-world examples, and problem-solving exercises.

A typical lesson plan may begin with a brief review of previous concepts, followed by an introduction of new material and guided practice exercises. I encourage active participation and engagement from my students throughout the lesson, and I provide regular feedback and assessment to ensure their understanding and progress.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my passion for teaching, my deep knowledge of the subject matter, and my ability to connect with and motivate my students. I strive to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment that encourages students to develop their own problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and to apply these skills to real-world situations.
