About Yamika
I am a passionate Math tutor with over 3 years of experience and an MPhil in Mathematics. I understand that math can be challenging and sometimes even scary for many learners. My holistic approach focuses on reducing math anxiety and building strong confidence in students of all ages. I believe that anyone can succeed in math with the right mindset and support. I use growth mindset techniques to help students see mistakes as learning opportunities, not failures. Personalized pacing is key in my teaching — I adjust lessons to fit each learner’s unique needs and speed. Positive reinforcement is a big part of how I encourage progress and keep motivation high. Many students I work with have struggled with math before or felt overwhelmed. I create a safe and supportive environment where they can ask questions freely and develop their skills without pressure. My goal is not just to teach math but to transform how students feel about it. Together, we work to uncover their natural ability to understand and enjoy mathematics. I’m committed to helping learners move past fear and frustration, and to discover math as a powerful, rewarding subject. My teaching approach focuses on helping students build a strong understanding of higher mathematics. I believe every student is unique and has their own way of understanding complex theorems. I support students in discovering their own learning style and developing confidence in tackling difficult problems. I encourage curiosity and promote active thinking to help learners become independent researchers in math. Together, we explore new ways to think mathematically and solve problems creatively. I guide students through challenging topics step by step, making sure they fully understand each idea before moving forward. Exam preparation and assignments become easier when the foundation is clear. My goal is to help students not only succeed academically but also enjoy the beauty of mathematics. This approach helps learners excel by building their problem-solving skills and critical thinking. I work patiently with students and provide support tailored to their pace.
