About Theo
I am a passionate Math tutor with over 3 years of experience and an MPhil in Mathematics. My approach is holistic, focusing not just on solving problems but also on reducing math anxiety and building confidence. I understand that many students feel overwhelmed or have struggled with math before. That’s why I create a supportive and encouraging environment where every learner feels safe to explore and grow. I use growth mindset techniques to help students believe in their ability to improve with effort and practice. My teaching approach to math is relaxed and focused on real-world applications. I believe math becomes easier and more fun when you see how it connects to everyday life, especially in coding and computer science. Along with core math topics, I also teach subjects like coding logic, algorithmic thinking, discrete mathematics, and understanding computational processes. These areas help build strong problem-solving skills that are very useful in technology and programming. I use programming analogies to explain complex ideas simply. This method helps students grasp concepts quickly and relate them to what they already know. I am patient and encouraging, making sure students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their thoughts. I support them in developing clear and natural ways to talk about computational problems, which is key to mastering the subject. Together, we break down difficult problems into smaller parts, making them manageable and less intimidating. I focus on helping students think like architects of logic and proof seekers, building solid foundations in math and computation. My goal is to make math an exciting and useful part of their digital lives. With guidance and practice, students gain confidence and excel in exams, assignments, and real-world challenges.
