About Georgia
I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and an MPhil in Chemistry. My approach is holistic and interdisciplinary, blending science with art to explore the chemistry of art and cultural heritage preservation. I focus on areas such as pigment analysis, material degradation, and conservation treatments, helping students understand how chemistry safeguards history. I work with art history students, conservationists, and anyone fascinated by the science behind preserving human creativity. My lessons are interactive, combining theory with practical examples to inspire curiosity and critical thinking. I believe that understanding the chemistry behind art deepens appreciation for cultural heritage. It’s deeply rewarding to guide students in applying chemistry to protect and understand our shared cultural legacy. My teaching approach for Chemistry is highly practical and focuses on clear, step-by-step problem-solving. I cover a wide range of topics, including stoichiometry, chemical reactions, balancing equations, reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, equilibrium, acid–base chemistry, and electrochemistry. I ensure every lesson connects theory with real-life examples to make concepts easier to understand. I use tools like Cell Explorer and Biotech Dreamer to give students interactive and visual learning experiences. This helps in understanding complex topics in a simple way. Each session is tailored to the student’s needs, ensuring their calculations are precise and accurate. I focus on guiding them to master both the process and the logic behind each concept. The goal is not just to complete the syllabus but to develop deep understanding. Every lesson aligns with the idea of understanding chemical change and its real-world importance. With practical exercises and constant feedback, students build confidence in solving problems. This approach supports students in excelling academically and applying chemistry knowledge effectively in exams and projects.
