About Silas
I am a Physics tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and hold an MSc in Physics. My passion lies in helping students understand the physics of everyday objects and phenomena. I believe that learning physics should be both practical and exciting. I use simple demonstrations and relatable examples, such as boiling water, bouncing balls, or the way a car brakes, to make abstract concepts tangible. These real-world illustrations help students connect theory with their daily experiences. I also challenge learners with conceptual problems that encourage critical thinking and deeper understanding. My teaching focuses on nurturing curiosity about the physical world all around us. I guide students to observe, question, and analyze phenomena they might otherwise take for granted. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s pace and interests. I have worked with school and university students, helping them gain confidence in problem-solving and conceptual clarity. By connecting physics to everyday life, I make complex ideas accessible and enjoyable. Together, we explore the principles that govern motion, energy, forces, and more, making learning meaningful. My goal is to make physics a relevant and fascinating part of daily observation. Learning becomes an adventure, and students leave inspired to see the world through a scientific lens.

My teaching approach in Physics focuses on clarity, understanding, and practical application. I emphasize building strong foundations in core concepts before moving to advanced topics. Along with school and university physics, I provide focused support for AP Physics test preparation.
I cover subjects like mechanics, electricity and magnetism, thermodynamics, and modern physics. Problem-solving techniques are central to my methodology. I guide students step by step, showing how to break complex problems into manageable parts. Concept review sessions help ensure nothing is left unclear.
Targeted drills and practice tests are an essential part of my approach. They not only reinforce learning but also develop speed and accuracy under exam conditions. I incorporate exam strategies that help students tackle questions efficiently and confidently.
As a mathematician and sci-fi fan, I bring enthusiasm and creativity to lessons, making abstract ideas engaging. Each session is designed to build both knowledge and self-assurance. The goal is to prepare learners thoroughly for high scores and real-world application.
With consistent guidance, students gain confidence, sharpen their skills, and excel in exams. Together, we turn challenging concepts into achievements and make learning Physics enjoyable and meaningful.
