About Bennett
I have over 14 years of experience teaching piano, especially to college students. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and focused on helping each student reach their best potential. I use a mix of traditional techniques and modern tools like apps and digital sheet music to make learning easier and more fun. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to fit their goals and interests. Whether you want to play classical pieces or explore jazz and pop, I’m here to guide you step by step and help you enjoy the journey of music.

My teaching approach is centered around understanding each student’s unique background and learning style, which helps me connect with them better and create a comfortable learning environment. I value cultural sensitivity, making sure to respect and include different musical traditions and styles in lessons. I encourage open-mindedness by exploring various genres like classical, jazz, soul, funk, pop, and R\&B, helping students find their own voice. I focus on problem-solving by breaking down difficult pieces into smaller parts, making challenges easier to overcome step by step.
Besides piano, I also teach related subjects like music theory, sight-reading, and ear training, which support overall musical growth. My goal is to build both skills and passion, guiding students from beginners to advanced levels with patience and encouragement. I believe learning music should be fun, inspiring, and tailored to each person’s goals.
