About Jessica
A massive lover of science, it was what inspired me to be a teacher 10 years ago. I love helping students understand the world around them, and be able to explain and appreciate scientific progress. Alongside teaching a wide variety of learners, I have spent the past few years working as a tutor and as an examiner, so that I can better help students achieve their goals. I have experience helping learners with a wide range of starting points, from those wanting to achieve their grade 4/5 for college, or those wanting to achieve 8/9s for med school. I am SEN trained and experienced working with learners with a wide range of learning and emotional needs. I look forward to working with you!

As an experienced science teacher, each 45-minute lesson will be crafted to cover a fundamental element of science content across the three subjects, biology, chemistry, and physics. By reactivating key content at the start, gaps in knowledge can be identified easily, and then new knowledge broken down to be better understood. Using key diagrams and examples from daily life, together we can use our time to dissect the core knowledge and then apply it to example questions. As an examiner, I can help guide you to the best possible answers, and practise exam skills until they become fluent. Lessons are offered to those studying GCSE science, usually in years 10 and 11, but also to those wanting a great start to their KS4 science, by breaking down and covering the core content from Y7, 8, and 9. I also offer preparation for A level sessions too. I have expertise in helping bridge the gap from grades 3 to 4 and 5, as well as helping learners achieve the higher grades (6+) necessary for further study.
