About Roman
I am a passionate flute tutor with 9 years of experience teaching students from school to college level, and I truly believe that music has the power to transform lives. My journey with the flute began as a personal passion, and over time, it grew into a strong commitment to teaching and guiding others.
I have had the opportunity to work with many students from different backgrounds, helping them start from the basics and gradually become confident performers.
One of my proudest achievements has been seeing students who once felt unsure develop the confidence to perform on stage and express themselves through music. My teaching style is simple, patient, and structured, focusing on building a strong foundation in breathing techniques, finger coordination, tone quality, and rhythm.
At the same time, I make sure that lessons are engaging and enjoyable so that students stay motivated and consistent in their practice. I believe that every student has unique potential, and with the right guidance and encouragement, they can achieve great results. My goal is to not only teach flute but also to inspire students to build confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for music.

My teaching approach for flute combines Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students learn effectively and confidently. I aim to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable to learn and grow.
I begin by understanding the student’s goals and level so I can plan lessons accordingly. I motivate students by setting achievable targets and recognising their progress, which helps them stay focused.
Communication helps me explain important techniques such as breath control, fingering, posture, and tone production in a simple and clear manner. With integrity, I guide students step by step and ensure they build a strong foundation. I provide honest feedback and support their improvement patiently.
Creativity helps me make lessons more engaging by including songs, exercises, and interactive learning methods. Along with flute, I also teach music theory, rhythm, and ear training to enhance overall skills.
