About Brandy
I have worked in the fashion and textile industry for 15+ years and have a lot of experience in many different roles. I love sharing with students what I have learned over the years and teaching them the skills needed to move forward in the industry. I have worked for brands such as Prada, Marni, Etro, Dolce and Gabbana, Schiaparelli and many more. I am co-founder of weaving non profit organization for people with disabilities Intertwine Arts NYC. Many of my students have gone to work for reputable brands or continued their education and the top fashion colleges.
I am a patient and experienced teacher that values inclusivity, empathy and teaching fundamental skills.

My fashion and textile lessons include the fundamental steps in building a collection. This includes gathering research, concept development, collages, fashion illustration, fashion history, and portfolio building. Students learn about different fabrics, textile making techniques, and about the history of textiles.
I tailor lesson plans based on the students goals and skill levels. I teach students of all skill levels and backgrounds.
