About Olivia

The voice is the only instrument that lives inside you. It’s shaped not just by your anatomy, but by your experiences, thoughts, and emotions. That’s why vocal coaching is such personal work—and why I’ve dedicated the last 7 years to helping students build voices that are strong, expressive, and unmistakably authentic.

I work with school-aged students, college-level performers, and adult beginners, and I adapt every lesson to suit the individual. Our technical work includes breath support, placement, tone balancing, agility, and intonation, but we also go beyond that—exploring expression, identity, and confidence through music. I use tools like vocal warm-up sets tailored to your range and genre, pitch apps for ear training, and “mirror exercises” to support posture and body awareness.

My lessons often include genre exploration—each student is encouraged to try new musical styles (like acoustic week or musical theater throwbacks) to broaden versatility and discover hidden strengths. Whether we’re analyzing lyrics or building stamina for performance, the focus is always on helping you sing in a way that feels honest and powerful. I also teach vocal health habits that last a lifetime: proper hydration routines, warm-up/cool-down rituals, lifestyle choices that protect your voice, and techniques for navigating fatigue or illness.

My space is inclusive and judgment-free. We laugh, we make mistakes, we experiment—and we celebrate progress every step of the way. I’ve helped students succeed in auditions, discover songwriting talents, and simply feel brave enough to sing out loud for the first time. About the lesson

Singing is an intricate blend of physiological mastery, emotional storytelling, and cultural expression that brings music to life in profound ways. My teaching philosophy revolves around the principles of Balance, Exploration, Respect, and Growth.

Balance refers to developing a well-coordinated system of breath control, vocal fold function, and resonance that allows for healthy, efficient, and sustainable singing. Through careful attention to posture, alignment, and breathing techniques, I help students build a strong vocal foundation that supports expressive freedom without strain. Exploration is encouraged in every lesson, where students are invited to engage creatively with phrasing, tone color, dynamics, and emotional interpretation through improvisation, storytelling, and character work.

This process helps singers discover their unique voice and artistic identity, fostering confidence and originality. Respect is a vital component of my approach, achieved by incorporating a diverse range of musical genres and cultural traditions. This diversity broadens students' musical perspectives and encourages appreciation for the rich tapestry of global music, promoting versatility and cultural sensitivity. Growth is cultivated through personalized goal-setting, structured practice strategies, and ongoing reflective feedback, enabling students to track progress and overcome challenges while remaining motivated.

I strive to create a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring environment where technique, artistry, and cultural understanding come together to empower singers to communicate authentically and effectively. Through this holistic approach, I aim to guide every student in developing not just their voice, but also their artistic confidence and lifelong passion for music.
