I base my class on focusing on base concepts first, along with short code examples. I believe true learning happens when the student is given small challenges that they should try to solve on their own, so they go through the entire process, and then it's rigorously discussed so the concept fits and the student is able to apply those concepts by themselves.
I believe no question or doubt is minor or "not worthy of asking". It's always best to ask the doubt before it bugs you, and then your code. ;)
