About Sam
I am currently a final year medical student at The University of East Anglia (UEA).
I have tutored a number of students over the years, helping them with specific subject areas and generally prepare for upcoming exams. Most recently I have tutored A-level chemistry students, helping them understand topics such as bonding and structures from which I received very positive feedback on my teaching style and general approach.
I also have experience working alongside aspiring medical students on their applications to university. This involves providing detailed and constructive feedback on personal statements, interview preparation and sharing any lessons and knowledge I have gained from my experience of applying to medical school and as a medical student.

I adopt a flexible approach to working with students based on their learning style, and encourage both students and parents to voice their needs in order to maximise our sessions. I aim to make our sessions as interactive as possible, and create an environment in which you feel comfortable asking questions to maximise your learning.
My previous tutoring sessions have lasted approximately 1 hour as I feel this allows sufficient time to quickly recap the previous session, answer any questions, and cover content without the student loosing focus and the session being rushed. However, I am more than happy to discuss the length of sessions depending on what suits the individual best.
I strive to make each session engaging and tailored to the individual, ensuring the student has a comfortable and rewarding learning experience whether that be in-person or online. The most important thing for me is that you leave our sessions feeling that they were helpful and hopefully give you more confidence moving forwards.
