About Shakshi
I am studying Psychology with Cognitive Neuroscience and am going into my Final Year at University. I have 3 years of tutoring experience with various platforms and subjects. I mainly teach GCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry as I feel like these are my strongest subjects. I specialise in teaching students with SEN requirements and learning difficulties and have worked with many students with Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia in the past.
My hobbies include dance, painting/drawing and crocheting. I love talking about all these things so don’t ask me! I’ll go on for hours!

Hi! I’m Shakshi and I’ve been tutoring for 3 years.
When we first meet, we will do an introductory session including getting familiar with each other, discussing your goals and what you’d like to get out of the lessons and then creating an individualised learning plan for us to follow vaguely. I like to make sure my lessons are student-led and focus on the way the students learn. Not everyone learns in the same way so I like to include many different methods in my lessons such as, videos, diagrams and mind maps.
I like to prepare my lessons beforehand so would really appreciate if you are able to tell me if there is a topic you’d like me to focus on, go through practice questions or try a mock test, so I can plan ahead.
I also like to give homework to some extent as it helps you apply the knowledge I taught you on your own. It’s beneficial to you if you complete it as it’ll just help strengthen your foundation.
I also like to talk about hobbies and make the environment quite relaxed and friendly. I don’t think there is a such things as silly questions so make sure to ask me anything that pops into your head!
