About Nikki
I am a final year student of English-History-Geography at the UCLL high school in Diepenbeek. Thanks to my education, I have gained teaching experience in various schools in Limburg.
In addition, I have been teaching English lessons to secondary school students from Belgium and abroad at language camps in Belgium for three years now with language camp organization Ruysschaert.
I also have experience with homework guidance in secondary and primary education thanks to my education.
Finally, after this year, I will also have experience with CLIL education. I will teach history lessons in English.

My method of teaching is as I learnt it in my training. I start with an introduction, which can be an attractive lead-in or an assessment to test prior knowledge.
Afterwards I continue my lesson with the theory of the lesson before practicing it. We start with simple exercises to test the basic understanding of the subject, before building up to more difficult exercises.
Finally, the intention is to finish the lesson nicely and timely. This can be done with a production exercise, an assessment of the gained knowledge, a summary ... It depends on the subject naturally.
Flexibility is important, however, because there is no one right approach. My methodology will therefore depend on the needs of the student. Starting from that, I construct my lesson logically.
Moreover, I am always open to communication. A specific approach can always be discussed should you feel it necessary. I attach great importance to open and clear communication.
