About Saranya

Learning a new subject can feel challenging, especially when the concepts seem complicated or unfamiliar. My goal is to make learning simple, practical, and enjoyable while helping you build the confidence to apply what you learn independently.

I am a finance and business professional with experience in corporate compliance, accounting, governance, business operations, and financial technology. I have also completed professional and academic studies in Management and Leadership Development and Financial Technology, allowing me to bring both practical experience and current knowledge into my teaching.

My lessons are designed for learners at different levels, including beginners, students, entrepreneurs, and working professionals. Whether you are learning Excel for the first time, trying to understand financial concepts, developing bookkeeping skills, or getting started with QuickBooks Online, I will guide you step by step.

I believe there is no such thing as a “silly” question. I encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes, practice, and learn at their own pace. I adapt my teaching style to each student and use practical examples wherever possible so that lessons are easier to understand and remember.

My Approach as a Tutor

I believe learning becomes much easier when concepts are explained in a simple, practical, and relatable way. As a finance and business professional with experience in corporate compliance, accounting, governance, and business operations, I focus on connecting theory with real-world applications.

My teaching approach is student-focused, practical, and interactive. I first understand the learner’s current knowledge, goals, and areas of difficulty, and then adapt the lessons to their learning pace. I encourage students to ask questions, practice independently, and learn by doing rather than simply memorizing concepts.

My Teaching Methodology

I use a combination of:

* Simple explanations to break down complex concepts into manageable steps
* Real-world examples from business, finance, accounting, and everyday situations
* Step-by-step demonstrations for Excel, bookkeeping, and QuickBooks Online
* Hands-on exercises so students can immediately apply what they learn

A Typical Lesson

A typical lesson begins with a brief review of the previous session and a discussion of the learner’s goals for the day.

I then introduce the new concept using a simple explanation and practical example. For technical subjects such as Excel, bookkeeping, and QuickBooks Online, I demonstrate the process step by step before having the student complete a similar exercise independently.

The lesson usually follows this structure:

Review → Explain → Demonstrate → Practice Together → Independent Practice → Questions → Recap

At the end of each session, I summarize the key concepts learned and suggest practical exercises or topics to review before the next lesson.

What sets me apart is my combination of academic knowledge, professional experience, and practical business exposure. I don't teach concepts only from textbooks—I explain how they are actually used in professional and business environments.

I am particularly focused on helping learners understand the "why" behind a concept, not just the steps involved. My goal is for students to become confident enough to apply their knowledge independently.

I also understand that every learner has a different starting point and learning style. I therefore adapt my explanations, examples, and pace according to the individual student.
