About Sofia
Guitar practice should feel like an intuitive conversation between your fingers and the strings. Maintenance is the single most important habit for long-term success.
Because of my music degree, I emphasize reading sheet music alongside ear training. We examine how blues progressions inform modern playing styles. My 13 years of gigging influence how we approach phrasing and rhythm.

Teens often come to me when they want to bridge the gap between reading simple tabs and performing complex blues progressions. I remember sitting in my first gig 13 years ago, feeling the weight of the wood against my ribs. Since then, I have taught 300 students how to navigate the fretboard with confidence.
My background includes a music degree and 13 years gigging Latin music across Australia. I focus on tuning, maintenance, and fluid chord transitions during our time together. Developing fingerpicking precision requires patience and a steady hand.
I share my knowledge of songwriting to help you compose your own original pieces. Whether you are prepping for grade exams or playing for fun, I am ready to guide you. We will work steadily toward the sound you want to hear.
