Aileen is one of our best Maths tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Aileen

I’m a Natural Sciences Graduate from the University of Cambridge, receiving first class in undergraduate and master’s degrees. I taught Maths and English at a tuition centre for 16 months and worked as a private tutor for Maths and Science. I also worked as an English teacher in China in 2018.

About the lesson

I plan teaching points and interactive tasks to span the entire lesson. I aim to create an environment where the student can ask questions, make mistakes and therefore build confidence. I aim to make studying enjoyable, rather than a chore.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by students with Aileen.

Perfect! The professionalism Aileen conveys enabled me to feel confident that she was the right person for our daughter. She was interested in her as a student and not just a 'tick box' exercise. The feedback we received after the first lesson was equally reassuring of our choice and more importantly our daughter felt confident in the topic they had gone through. Thank you

Aileen and I studied together at university; she has always been great at breaking down problems and explaining her reasoning, in addition to being incredibly hard-working, punctual and professional. She is reliable and approachable, and will go the extra mile to prepare her sessions to be tailored and engaging for her students!

We have know Aileen for a number of years now and she helped our daughter out hugely at the start of her secondary school; her knowledge, understanding and patience whilst teaching is a true skill, we cannot recommend Aileen highly enough.

Aileen tutored my 12 year old daughter, Maddie, in Science subjects during lockdown. She proved to be reliable, professional and knowledgeable. She helped Maddie overcome a lack of confidence and passed on her enthusiasm in the subject. Maddie went from hating science to loving it! I was delighted to have found Aileen and wouldn't hesitate engaging her again in the future.
