About Shikha

My favourite subjects were always those taught by teachers who not only knew their material but were genuinely passionate about it. Their enthusiasm sparked my own love for the subject and made learning exciting. I aim to create that same experience for my students. Learning doesn't have to feel like a chore to achieve great results—it's about fostering genuine engagement with the material, which naturally leads to success.

About the lesson

My lessons are about my student. I believe in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages active participation and helps students develop a deeper understanding of mathematics. My tutoring approach is student-centred. This means I tailor each lesson to meet the individual needs of the student. I ensure my students have a strong foundation of concepts before building up on them. This means that practice questions are key to really understanding a topic. I would recommend lessons of at least an hour to give the student enough time to reflect on previous learnings and build new concepts. I am flexible and can adjust based on the student's needs. Whether the student benefits more from shorter, more frequent lessons or prefers longer, more intensive sessions, I am happy to accommodate. I recently graduated from the University of Manchester with an Integrated Masters in Mechanical Engineering with Management. Although I am new to professional tutoring, I have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for teaching that I’m eager to share with my students. My lessons are suitable for all ages up to (and including) GCSEs.
