About Sol
A little about me: I'm a First-Class History graduate (University of Liverpool), currently studying for a Master's in Law, and I've tutored History and Politics at GCSE and A-Level with consistently five-star feedback from students and parents.
My lessons suit GCSE and A-Level students (roughly ages 14–18) who are capable and motivated and want to turn solid grades into top ones — whether that's a final push to an A*, rebuilding confidence, or sharpening exam technique.

My approach is simple: most GCSE and A-Level students already know far more than their grades show — what holds them back is technique. So that's what I teach. Rather than just reviewing content, I focus on how to plan and structure essays, analyse sources and interpretations, deploy evidence, and answer the exact question the mark scheme is rewarding. I also help students build a revision system that actually sticks, so progress continues between lessons.
Every lesson is fully tailored — there's no fixed scheme of work and no time wasted on what you already know. Sessions are one-to-one and online, typically 55 minutes, and I work across all exam boards (AQA, Edexcel and OCR). I also offer essay marking, with detailed written feedback returned within 48 hours.
