About Caitlin
I am a 1st Class degree holder from the School of Oriental and African Studies, SOAS, University of London. I have experience teaching young children in poor schools across London and have planned and carried out Swahili lessons for University students taking part in the UCL Global Citizenship Programme. I have a background in linguistic research and freelance Swahili translation for a number of charities, and currently, work for a global EdTech non-profit as a Communications Manager.

I believe we all soak up the things we love. I always try to instill fun and interesting elements into my lessons to keep students engaged and enthusiastic. I do, however, take a very organised approach to language learning. Repetition and spaced practice are key elements of learning languages well, and I try to always incorporate this into my sessions.
I would be happy to teach a student with absolutely no knowledge of Swahili whatsoever, or someone looking to reach degree level. I'm a flexible teacher, very personable, and here to support every learner's needs.
