I want to teach because value how important having someone in your corner is. Teachers are chronically overworked and sometimes, some people just need some extra support from someone that understands both them, and the teachers they are learning from day in, day out. As someone who struggled with a speech disorder growing up, I know first-hand how difficult English can be as a subject. However, through hard work and perseverance I found a true love for English and teaching English. During my degree I specialised in working with students who struggle with the subject, and through this, I learnt how to make a difference in the lives of students.
