About Cameron

I am a first-class Honours graduate from Bournemouth University, with a degree in Film Studies. With a desire to further my knowledge within my research field, I was successful in my application to University College London and admitted to a world-class institution for my Master's degree. Here I have refined my writing and research skills, fine-tuning my attention to detail. In the process, I have also been enhancing my understanding of how film and media influence our lives.

My interests in working in academia emerged at a young age, when I found a strong passion for learning and sharing knowledge. Since then, I have regularly seized the opportunity to expand my skills in this area. In secondary school, I pursued work experience at a non-profit educational company called Film Oxford who offer training and hands-on experiences in filmmaking to people from all walks of life, working directly with underprivileged groups and special education needs children.

Most recently, I have been successful in an application to undertake teacher training, beginning in the 2022 academic year, through the Times Top 100 graduate scheme 'Teach First'. This demonstrates my commitment to a career in education, and displays my many attributes when it comes to working with pupils of all ages and abilities.

About the lesson

As a UCL postgraduate student, transitioning into a career in teaching and education, I have a wealth of skills and knowledge in all areas of learning. Whether the subject is English Literature, English Language, History, or Media Studies, I have a deep and extensive knowledge of the curriculum, ranging from GCSE to A Levels.

Most notably, I am well versed in essay writing techniques and practices, and I have assisted many students and peers in improving their written communication. Moreover, I have a range of experience working with pupils and SEN students of all ages, and I relish the opportunity to continue to expand upon these areas of my career.

My lessons will typically consist of an hour session, during which key learning objectives are identified and pupils are engaged in the topic through unique and enjoyable activities. As exams approach, pupils will be encouraged to revise and revisit topics, focusing on core parts of the curriculum and areas specific to each individual student during their tutoring sessions.

Cameron is excellent as communicating information and is even able to provide counter arguments for some topics which allows you to create your own opinions which is very beneficial to learning. He is hugely dedicated to researching and evaluating which deems him a trustworthy and informative individual.
