About Ash
I feel I am a friendly and personable tutor as this makes an open and enjoyable learning environment. Having been a student myself with who found GCSEs, A-levels, university admissions quite daunting, I hope to provide reassurance to my students that they are not alone in this feeling while providing them the tools to perform better and achieve their goals.
I take a similar approach for university-level teaching trying to move away from a lecture, didactic teaching style rather open conversation, inviting students to ask questions.

I teach a range of ages, having tutored students from 11+ to undergraduate level biomedical science for the last 7 years. My lessons can vary in length, from 1-2 hours depending what works for the student. I have provided tutorials for students at university and recently completed an optional course in medical education during my 4th year of medical school.
For students looking for tutoring in Biology/Chemistry, I try take a friendly approach with my students, I first work to identify areas of weakness in subjects and we work from first principles. I want to make sure students have a strong grounding in the subject while also providing strategies for exam techniques.
Having reviewed personal statements and worked on various outreach summer schools, I understand university admissions is a stressful time. I can review and edit personal statements, provide help with medical entrance tests and preparation for both MMI and panel interviews, working to provide mocks with personalised feedback.
