About Rodrigo
Hello, I'm Rodrigo, I help law students turn 2:1 essays into First-Class work. To me, teaching is the art of helping others move from ignorance to understanding without going through (often uncomfortable) experience. I want to help you do just that.
I believe people have talents to which they never really give the full expression they deserve. In the realm of exams, this is often due to wha is called 'technique'. I was very fortunate to come across great teachers and helpful peers who taught me that technique, and it's great to have come full circle and be ready to share it with you now.

We'll start by building a plan together: we'll identify what you want to achieve, your strengths and weaknesses, the specific subjects, topics or questions you want to work on, the particularities of your course, etc. We'll then be able to track your progress and make the best of our time together.
As for the teaching itself, my preferred method, which I consider most useful for law exams, is to work through questions both in lessons and through assignments you complete independently and which I then review. It allows you to address and understand the substance of the law in a way that is always tailored towards specific problems. And it ensures your hard work translates into good marks!
My strongest area is essay-writing. I can help you refine your approach to questions, strengthen your structure and analysis, and develop techniques that will enable you to make the most of your talent and effort. With the advice of those who preceded me, I have achieved a first class law degree at the University of Oxford, being awarded the Law Faculty prize in Comparative law.
