About Dylan
Hi there! I’m Dylan, a recent graduate from the University of Oxford in Mathematics and Philosophy, and I’m excited to share my passion for learning with you! Having recently been through secondary education, GCSEs and A Levels and safely come out the other side, I understand the unique challenges that current students face, and I know how to navigate exams and curricula with success. I ranked in the top 0.1% of students nationwide at GCSE, I achieved 4 A*s at A Level, and I went on to great academic success at Oxford, and now I want to help others reach their own academic goals.

I offer personalised tutoring for secondary school students of all ages in Mathematics, English and Music, and Philosophy, as well as advice for university admissions. In my experience of tutoring students struggling with mathematics, I have learnt that tutoring works best when students are engaged and open to learning, and so I make sure to tailor each session to each student and aim for them to come away with a renewed sense of confidence and enthusiasm for the subject. As such, a typical lesson would begin by me asking the student if there’s anything in particular in their work that they’ve enjoyed or found interesting. If there’s no response, we’ll move onto what they found challenging instead. Knowing the area that the student is working on, I’ll have brought with me extra problems or prompts to go through to enrich their learning should we get through all the core material.
