About Jessie

Hey everyone! My name is Jessie, I have a background in Architecture, as well as an MA in Education and Architectural History at UCL, whilst working as an Architectural Designer, Inclusive Design Consultant (Motionspot) and now PhD Candidate (UCL). I was previously Writer and Content Editor for the RIBA. I am 29 years old, live in Brighton, absolutely love to travel and have a dog called Bud. I have always been passionate about education and learning since a very young age (my Dad always comparing me to Hermione Granger), I started off as a PhD Assistant, whilst a part 1 architect and was later given the opportunity to begin lecturing alongside my Undergraduate Dissertation Lecturer and I have fallen in love with teaching ever since.

About the lesson

Hi everyone! - As an architectural designer, 2x postgraduate student and now Architectural Design PhD candidate at UCL, I understand what it means to be a student, especially within the context of Covid/online learning. I have also been online teaching for 4+ years and testing out which methodologies work well to achieve engagement and successful results, whilst creating a compassionate rapport with each student. Understanding each student's individual learning style.
