About Ivan

I was born in Russia and lived there for the first 16 years and then moved to the UK about 4 years ago. I practised teaching a lot in the last years preparing people for various exams and subjects (like maths and physics). I also took Russian A-level (got an A* for it) so I can specifically prepare for the exam.

About the lesson

I am a native Russian speaker. My lessons are practice-based. This means not only exam practice but also practising Russian language skills. We can make it informal and discuss everyday stuff or dive deeply into any subject a student wants and practise translating it. I have a TEFL certificate and although it's not about the Russian language, it gave me a lot of tips on how to make a lesson fascinating for a student. My lessons are for people of all levels.

Ivan is a really understanding and knowledgeable teacher. He was recommended to me by one of my friends and even though I was kind of skeptic at first towards him thinking I'll have to find another tutor soon, my suspicions were quickly swept away. He explained to me things I was even afraid to ask about, thinking that I'd have to take a lot of time studying the topic at home. He made really challenging topics sound simple and with him, I had improved my knowledge of the subject to my current level which I consider quite high compared to what I had before. If I had to recommend one tutor out of the ones I had, my recommendations is no doubt Ivan.
