About Swetha
Hi! I'm Swetha, a Master's student in Information Technology at Flinders University with over two years of experience as a Software Engineer. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I've developed a strong foundation in mathematics, logical reasoning, and problem-solving, and I genuinely enjoy helping others understand concepts that once seemed difficult.
Teaching is something I'm truly passionate about. Alongside my studies, I work as a university tutor and volunteer with the Girls' Programming Network (GPN) and HerTechPath, where I mentor students and encourage them to build confidence in STEM. These experiences have taught me that every student learns differently, and the best results come from patience, encouragement, and adapting lessons to suit each individual's learning style.
I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing at their own pace. My goal isn't just to help students achieve better grades, but to help them develop confidence, curiosity, and independent learning skills that will benefit them beyond the classroom.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit their individual pace, learning style, and goals. Rather than encouraging students to memorize formulas, I focus on helping them understand the "why" behind each concept. My lessons are interactive, supportive, and designed to build confidence alongside strong problem-solving skills.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, beginning with a quick review of previous topics, followed by learning new concepts through simple explanations and worked examples. Students then solve practice questions with my guidance, and we finish with a short recap and personalized feedback. I also provide extra practice and study strategies when needed.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Information Technology at Flinders University and have over two years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, where analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear communication were essential. Alongside my studies, I work as a university tutor and volunteer as a mentor with the Girls' Programming Network (GPN) and HerTechPath, helping students develop confidence in STEM subjects and technology.
My lessons are suitable for Primary, Secondary, and High School students of all ability levels. Whether you're aiming to strengthen your fundamentals, improve your grades, prepare for exams, or simply gain confidence in Mathematics, I provide a patient, encouraging, and structured learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
My goal is not just to help students succeed in their next test, but to help them become independent, confident learners who enjoy solving problems.
