It is my honor to recommend Ms. Bianca Aguirre. As a Dual Enrollment student at the
Marine Academy of Science and Technology (MAST), Bianca was my student in Fall 2023 for
ENC 1101: Writing & Rhetoric, and in Spring 2024 for ENC 1102: Writing in Action (the first
and second courses, respectively, of the undergraduate first-year writing sequence at Florida
International University). I appreciate how seriously Bianca takes her education. Her passion is an
attribute that will serve her well. In addition, I enjoyed watching as Bianca applied her quick wit
to the writing process -to which her excellent academic record in my class attests. Based on these
interactions with her, I have found Bianca to be a diligent individual. This is further demonstrated
by her record of accomplishments and volunteerism, including devoting her time as a peer health
educator, along with her recognition as a National Merit Commended Scholar and National
Hispanic Recognition Award Recipient.
It is evident to me that Bianca brings great resourcefulness to whatever she sets her mind.
I urge you to give yourselves the opportunity of working with her, as she has much to contribute.
