About Katherine Emi

I love teaching because it allows me to connect with people from different backgrounds and help them grow in confidence and communication through language. Lesson Duration: Most lessons are 50 minutes long to ensure focused, high-quality learning without burnout. I’m flexible if you need shorter or longer sessions—just let me know! Teaching Style: My approach is interactive and student-centered. I combine conversation practice, grammar support, and real-world applications to make lessons practical and enjoyable. I adapt to your pace and preferences to ensure you feel comfortable and confident. The power of language is something everyone should experience! Materials & Homework: I provide customized materials based on your goals. I’m also happy to assign optional practice or homework if you’d like to keep improving between sessions. Who I Teach: I work with students of all ages and levels—from children just starting out, to teens and adults preparing for exams, interviews, or professional communication. Background: I completed the IBDP with a strong focus on English and have experience tutoring privately and through NGOs. I bring patience, structure, and creativity to every session.

About the lesson

I’m an English tutor with a strong academic foundation, having completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) & Foundation Year at King's College London, and I’m fluent in English. I have several years of experience in tutoring, helping students improve their speaking, writing, grammar, and overall confidence in using English.

My lessons are typically 50 minutes long and fully customised to each student’s level, goals, and learning style. Whether you’re a beginner building a foundation, an intermediate learner aiming to improve fluency, or an advanced student preparing for exams or interviews — I’ll create a structured, engaging plan just for you.

I use an interactive, student-centered approach with a mix of conversation practice, grammar exercises, real-life scenarios, and creative activities. I’ve also worked with NGOs teaching students from diverse backgrounds, which has helped me develop a flexible and patient teaching style.
