About Jenn Ann
I'm a native Tagalog speaker who grew up immersed in the language and its rich cultural traditions. While I don't have a formal teaching degree, my deep understanding of Tagalog — from casual street slang to formal writing — allows me to teach with clarity and authenticity. I've helped friends, coworkers, and language exchange partners gain confidence in speaking Tagalog naturally. I take every lesson seriously, preparing materials in advance and tailoring each session to your unique needs. My students appreciate my patience, clear explanations, and genuine enthusiasm for sharing my language. I'm punctual, organized, and committed to making every minute of our time together valuable. My lessons are built around real-life Tagalog — the way Filipinos actually speak it every day. We start with a quick warm-up conversation, then dive into practical phrases, common expressions, and everyday vocabulary. I explain grammar simply, using examples from movies, songs, and daily situations so you remember them naturally. Each session ends with a fun speaking exercise to build your confidence.

I'll correct you gently, explain the little things textbooks miss, and adjust every lesson to your personal goals, whether you're a beginner traveler, a Filipino-American reconnecting with your roots, or a professional learning for work.
