About Shaan
I am a student of English Literature at the University of Kent. I have been giving Spanish lessons to children for the past 5 years and have experience teaching in a Spanish school. I am encouraging and friendly and would be delighted to help your child reach their potential in Spanish speaking, listening, reading and writing. I have experience teaching children and teenagers ranging in age from 2 to 17 and carefully tailor each individual lesson plan to suit the needs, strengths and weaknesses of the student.

For the younger children that I tutor, my method is child-led. I encourage children to learn through play and song and in this, allow their imaginations to be stimulated which I find aids them in memorising, normalising and using Spanish phrases. For older students, studying for GSCEs or A Levels, I take a more methodical approach. I will devise lesson plans based on the topics that they themselves have flagged a weakness in. I will give on the spot testing to ensure that learning has been instilled but I will also be sure to praise and encourage improvement.
